Missouri 2006 Woman’s Vote:
We sent Claire McCaskill to the U. S. Senate, the first woman from Missouri elected to a full 6 year term.
We increased our State Senate Progressive Caucus to 7:
- Sen. Joan Bray, 24th – St. Louis
- Sen. Maida Coleman, 5th – St. Louis
- Sen. Rita Days, 14th – St. Louis
- Sen. Chuck Graham, 19th - Columbia
- Sen. Jolie Justus, 10th – newly elected from Kansas City
- Sen. Jeff Smith, 4th – newly elected from St. Louis
- Sen. Yvonne Wilson, 9th – Kansas City
We elected 5 new progressive State Representatives for a total of 33:
- Rep. Sholon Curls, 41st – Kansas City
- Rep. Sam Komo, 90th – St. Louis
- Rep. Rebecca McClanahan, 2nd - Kirksville
- Rep. Mike Talboy, 37th – Kansas City
- Rep. Jake Zimmerman, 83rd – St. Louis
